Singapore Airlines adds A350-900s on Korean routes

Singapore Airlines will introduce a new model of aircraft to routes connecting Korea and Singapore.

The airlines will unveil the mid-size flagship, the Airbus A350-900 on March 1, partially replacing its existing Airbus 330-300 jets.

The new aircraft model features economy and business class seats similar to those on its Boeing 787-10 model. The plane will have 40 business class seats and 263 economy seats. It will fly between Incheon International Airport and Changi Airport.

To raise its competitiveness, Singapore Airlines announced last week that it has acquired the right to operate scheduled flights between Busan and Singapore. The airline’s regional subsidiary SilkAir will launch four weekly non-stop flights that link Busan’s Gimhae International Airport with Singapore’s Changi Airport. The service will kick off on May 1.
