Pricey pork
Pork displayed at a discount store in Seoul on Sunday. The price of imported pork is expected to spike in the next couple of weeks due to a supply shortage amid the widespread African swine fever spreading in China. The price of pork in Korea already showed an increase of almost 17 percent from 3,906 won ($3.50) per kilogram on average in March to 4,571 won this month, according to the data by the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade, due to the increased outdoor activities as the weather warms up.
