Korean Cars Gaining Popularity in Europe

Korean car sales are increasing rapidly in Europe. According to the Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), the number of Korean cars sold in October in 17 European countries soared by 26.6% to 32,148.
The number of Korean-made car sales in total from January to October also increased by 32.6% to 320,797.
However car sales of Korean models in Western Europe grew by only 1.1% in October while Japanese made cars rose by 0.1% in October.
A source at KOTRA said, 'The number of car sales soared sharply due to the popularity of Hyundai and Daewoo's new models.'
The Volkswagen sold 2.18 million cars, the most in Europe, followed by Peugeut, Fiat, Renot, and Ford.
