Animation Festival to be Staged from August 13

The fourth Seoul International Cartoon & Animation Festival will be held from August 13 to 20 at the Convention and Exhibition Center (COEX).
At this, the largest annual animation festival in Korea, themed 'Challenge to the Future', cartoonists, publishers, animation companies, game software programmers and cartoon societies at universities will put on show various kinds of animation.
This year's noteworthy trend is the adoption of diverse computer three-dimensional graphics and mixtures of animation and real film.
From 'Bunggaboo', which is a 3D animation portraying future societies in the universe, to 'Innocent Paekkoo', a story of love between children and a white dog named 'Paekkoo', visitors will be able to feel the domestic animators' strong interest in environmental issues at this festival.
Animations from Japan, France and Canada will also be shown during the festival.
