Korean Movies to Compete at Chicago Film Festival

'Family Cinema' directed by Park Chul-soo has advanced to the competition section of the 35th Chicago International Film Festival, which will be held from October 6 to 21. The director Kim Si-un's 'Houdeng' and 'Organ in My Heart' directed by Lee Young-jai have been invited to the new director competition and the invitation screening section, respectively.
'Family Cinema', which will be released in Tokyo, Osaka and Fukuoka on October 2, will compete with 20 movies, including the Japanese film 'After Death'.
So far, three Korean movies, 'Spinning wheel' (1984), 'Sunshine' (1985) and 'Kilsoteum' (1986), have been awarded at the film festival.
