Ministry of Women's Affairs Ready for Launch

The outline has finally been agreed upon. The plan to establish a ministry spearheaded by the Nationl Assembly's Special Committee on Women's Affairs is ready. The ministry will work to eliminate discrimination against women and prevent domestic violence while minimizing possible conflicts that might arise between other ministries.

The new ministry is currently planning to expand its personnel from 49 to 150 employees. The ministry will also utilize semi-legislative rigthts that allow it to rectify provisons like sexual harrassment and sexual discrimination. Until now, the Special Committee only had the right to suggest a correction. By establishing a committee for sexual discrimination consisting of dozens of experts, the nation has been able to create new regulations and laws guaranteeing the rights of women.
