Painter Chun Donates 93 Paintings
Veteran female painter Chun Kyung Ja(74) donated 93 paintings worth 7 billion won to the Seoul City Art Museum on November 24.Chun already visited the mayor of Seoul Metropolitan Government, Koh Kun, last week and promised to give 93 paintings including her most famous work 'Mode of Life' which she painted in 1951.
She also relinquished her rights, such as copyright and reproductions, to the works to the city of Seoul.
Chun was a former professor of Hongik University and gained renown when she held several private exhibitions in France and Japan.
The Museum will exhibit her paintings in a special room beginning in late 2000.
