Refurbishment of Provisional Government Building in Shanghai
The provisional Korean government building which still stands in Shanghai, China will be refurbished in commemoration of its 80th anniversary, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced Monday.It promised to give funding support to the refurbishment of historic relics of the independence movement against the Japanese army in Shanghai and Choongching, in consultation with the Chinese government.
The government will also try to uncover other remains of similar historical value in Russia and the United States, in a bid to remind the Korean people of their allegiance to their country and respect for its history.
