Viewers Flock to Sensational Film "Yellow Hair"
Published: 04 Jan. 2003, 18:05
'Yellow Hair', which had suffered a temporary rating suspension due to its lasciviousness before its premier, attracted 40,000 people last Saturday (the opening day) and Sunday.
As a result of the hit, about 20 cinemas, including Dansungsa, have decided to commence midnight showings.
'Yellow Hair' audience numbers last weekend were almost double the 20,000 viewers of the noticible Korean film 'Uprising', which opened on the same day.
The film's success in the box-office seems to have been influenced by the sensational and erotic scenes which induced the rating suspension and the lack of blockbuster movie launches due to film-makers' desires to avoid competing with 'Star Wars Episode I - The Phantom Menace'.
