Cut Back of Business Trip for High Officials
Prime Minister Park Tae-joon has ordered high officials to exercise restraint when planning business trips, especially during the lead up to the General Election, in order to avoid any mishaps or misunderstandings. The order was given to each central ministry and local organization on March 15.Prime Minister Park also asked that PR activity be put on hold until the General Election is over. Park wants to avoid the problems that can arise with ministers advertising the achievements of particular parties. Park continued to stress the importance of not speaking either for or against particular nominees at convention meetings.
