SONATAMANIA CONTINUES
Japan’s obsession with the Korean TV drama “Winter Sonata” continues unabated.Japanese newspapers reported the show’s fans in Japan are excited after hearing a rumor that the two stars of the drama, Bae Yong-jun and Choi Ji-woo, are going to Japan to celebrate the planned construction of a set modeled after the real one in Chuncheon, Gangwon province. It will be built in Gifu prefecture on the island of Honshu.
“Winter Sonata” fans bombarded the city office with calls to verify whether the two actors were planning a visit.
Mr. Bae’s associate said they had been asked to visit the city but had no immediate plans to visit Japan.
