[NEW RELEASE]Gloria Estefan

Gloria Estefan
Album: “90 Millas”
Genre: Latin
Label: Sony BMG

If you liked Gloria Estefan’s vocals on “Mi Tierra,” chances are you will love her fourth Spanish album, “90 Millas.”
An exile from her native Cuba, she reminisced about her motherland in “Mi Tierra” (1993), a worldwide hit that won her a Grammy Award for Best Latin Album.
The new release is a follow-up to this recording but now Estefan has some help from the top Latin musicians playing today.
The highlight is the collaboration among 25 Latin music greats, from Carlos Santana’s sumptuous guitar on “No Llores” to Jose Feliciano’s acoustic set and Sal Cuevas’s bass lines on other tracks.
The opening track, “Me Odio,” boasts Estefan’s plaintive vocals and “Caridad” is the most danceable track on the album.
“Refranes” summons up images of a tropical beach, and if you spend this fall listening to this passionate Cuban-spirited album, you’ll be yearning for the summer beaches.
