[Talk of the town]Ill-health forces cancellation of X Japan’s world tour
The recently reformed Japanese rock group X Japan is postponing its world tour.
The tour was scheduled for this summer and fall.
According to Sankei Sports, a Japanese daily sports newspaper, Yoshiki Hayashi, the group’s leader and drummer is faring poorly. He is said to have a chronic herniated disc and tendinitis. Doctors ordered him to stop all activities.
X Japan had already cancelled its Korean concert, originally scheduled for last Sunday. The group’s world tour had included Paris, Taipei and New York.
Hayashi is currently undergoing medical treatment at his residence in Los Angeles.
