To April 30: Lotte Hotel World’s The Lounge is offering juice, cocktails and cakes made with strawberries, including the beverage “Strawberry Oasis,” a concoction of strawberries and raspberry liqueur, and the sweet and sour “Strawberry Paradise.” There is also a selection of three luscious strawberry cakes.

Beverages and cakes are priced at 13,000 won, subject to VAT and service charge.

Grand Hyatt Seoul

April 23 to April24: Grand Hyatt Seoul’s J.J. Mahoney invites you to its Spring Party 2010, where mandarin and cherry trees are complimented by pastel walls that recreate the feel of a blossoming flower garden. There are live performances by special guest DJs, raffles, a Best Couple Contest, as well as live music by J.J Mahoney’s house band. All guests receive a complimentary welcome drink and Illy coffee.

The entrance fee costs 35,000 won ($31), and 25,000 won for JJ’s Ladies Membership.

Park Hyatt Seoul

From late April (five times only): The restaurant Cornerstone at the Park Hyatt Seoul presents its Dom Perignon Dinner, which will be available five times only on a first-come, first-served basis. The five-course dinner, prepared by the hotel’s Italian executive chef, will be accompanied by five vintages of Dom Perignon champagne, served by the bottle. These include an Oenotheque 1995, Rose 1996 and 1998 and two 2000 vintages.

The menu includes yellow tail tuna tartare with pear, organic greens, caviar sauce and salmon roe eggplant ravioli with beetroot; pork belly ragout; lobster casserole with truffle-scented mushroom ragout and herb salad; and veal tenderloin with duck liver terrine. For dessert, there are sour cherries and chocolate truffles with marinated strawberries and ice-cream.

The dinner costs 5,000,000 won per person.

JW Marriott Seoul

To May: JW Marriott Seoul’s Chinese restaurant Man Ho is offering two new set menus with white asparagus. The six-course Special Set includes braised white asparagus and abalone with pine mushrooms, steamed pork belly and sea cucumber with Chinese spinach. The five-course Extreme Set set includes a soup called Buddha jumps over the wall, braised sea cucumber and white asparagus, stir-fried lobster tail and pan-fried beef fillet with Chinese spinach.

The Special Set is priced at 95,000 won and the Extreme Set is 125,000 won, excluding tax and service charge.

InterContinental Hotels Seoul

May 5: Families with children are invited to the Grand InterContinental Hotels in Seoul to enjoy either lunch or dinner and a special cake-making event in celebration of Children’s Day.

The event starts with lunch from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. or dinner from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.. After the meal, families can move on to the cake-making event. The lunch and dinner buffets are geared toward children, with menus that include mini burgers, pizza, Chinese noodles, spaghetti and more. There will also be a photo zone where families can have their photograph taken with a clown.

At the Grand Kitchen (Grand InterContinental Seoul), lunch is 55,000 won for adults and dinner is 65,000 for adults. Both meals are 38,000 won for children.

At The Brasserie (COEX InterContinental Seoul), lunch is 48,000 won for adults and dinner is 65,000 won for adults. Both meals are 38,000 won for children.

Millennium Seoul Hilton

May 5: This Children’s Day, the Millennium Seoul Hilton is hosting a Kid’s Carnival lunch buffet from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in its Grand Ballroom. There will be several fun events including face painting, balloons, clowns and live performances.

The buffet is priced at 60,000 won for adults and 38,000 won for children aged 12 and under, including tax and service charges.
