Bring back the broadcasting station
An event was held yesterday at the JoongAng Ilbo in support of the reinstatement of TBC, a broadcasting station that the JoongAng Ilbo owned but was forced to close by the military dictatorship on Nov. 30, 1980, 30 years to the day yesterday. JoongAng Ilbo executives, former executives of TBC and singers, actors and actresses who made their debut on TBC programs participated in the event in the hope that JoongAng Ilbo will win a license for a general programming channel in December and TBC will be restored.
