Bear-faced escape
Firefighters, left, move in on Mount Cheonggye in Seoul yesterday to capture a 6-year-old male bear, right, who escaped yesterday when a zookeeper was cleaning his cage. The 30-kilogram (66-pound) black Malaysian bear escaped from Seoul Zoo in Gwacheon, some 18 kilometers (11 miles) south of the capital, at around 11 a.m. and was last seen at the summit of Mount Cheonggye, about 6 kilometers from the zoo. Police and disaster management authorities deployed a chopper and more than 100 officials to search for the animal. No casualties were reported. [YONHAP]
