Two teams in the K-League cellar will square off this weekend in what should be an interesting match for Daejeon fans.
Daejeon’s new head coach Yoo Sang-chul, who signed a one-and-a-half-year deal with the club last week, will be making his debut against Gangwon. The team has surrendered 14 goals in the last two games, but is looking to get back on track with Yoo.
Gangwon has lost five matches in a row and has only scored six goals all season.
Despite its ineptitude this season, Gangwon has played fairly even in all-time head-to-head matches against Daejeon, with two wins, two draws and two losses.
