Lee Moon-sae to hold encore concert to meet demand for tickets

Ballad singer Lee Moon-sae will hold an encore concert Dec. 15-19 at Olympic Hall in southern Seoul following the success of his earlier “Sunset Glow” performance at Ewha Womans University in April.

The concert, named after the singer’s hit song, was initially scheduled to run Dec. 15-18. However, due to requests from fans, an additional date has been added, according to Moobong, the production agency responsible for the show.

Lee is a popular ballad singer from the 1980s, and his hit song, “Sunset Glow,” has made a comeback recently as it was remade and performed by idol band Big Bang in 2008.

This year, Lee has made a world tour of the “Sunset Glow” concert, performing in seven cities in Canada, the U.S., Japan and Australia. Within Korea, Lee has also held concerts in regional cities such as Gyeongsan, North Gyeongsang; Anyang, Gyeonggi; Gwangju; Gimhae, South Gyeongsang; Pohang, North Gyeongsang; Daegu; and surrounding areas.

After his concert in Seoul on Dec. 19, Lee will end his 15-stop Korean tour in Busan from Dec. 24-25. A representative at Moobong said the “Sunset Glow” concert may set a new record for ticket sales.
