Mercedes to recall more than 2,000 diesel sedans in Korea

Mercedes-Benz Korea will recall 2,424 units of its diesel sedans sold in Korea for faulty fuel filters that could lead to oil leaks, Seoul’s Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs said yesterday.

Five diesel models sold here between April 18, 2006 and April 6, 2011 are subject to the recall, according to the ministry.

The ministry said that the faulty fuel filters could spill oil on the road, possibly making driving conditions hazardous for vehicles that follow behind.
