‘Romance Town’ actors help launch drama DVD in Japan
Sung said that she had an affinity for the drama because it focuses on characters that are usually marginalized in society. “I was especially attached to this work and feel so honored to be able to share it with Japanese viewers,” Sung said.
Sung made her debut as part of a four-member girl group Fin.K.L in 1998 with the album “Blue Rain.” She is currently starring in the MBC drama “Feast of the Gods.”
Jung, who is playing his first role in a romantic comedy, said that he enjoyed working with Sung.
“I was a big fan of Sung from when she was in the girl group Fin.K.L and would steal glances at her throughout the taping,” he said. “It was so surreal working with a celebrity I used to be infatuated with.”
The drama aired on KBS from May until July last year. It will be available as a DVD set and will also be shown on TBS starting April 9. By Carla Sunwoo
