Ballad-singing boy band 2AM has maintained first place on the Korean Billboard charts for the second week in a row.

The current No. 1 song “Are You Hurting Like Me,” taken from the band’s new EP “F. Scott Fitzgerald’s Way of Love,” was released on March 12 and is the first single released by the band in 17 months.

In early March, the band held a press conference where they talked about settling on the title of the new album.

“Our fans may be unfamiliar with the name of our album, as were we when we were first told by the producer. However, as we were getting ready for the album, we started reading Fitzgerald’s books. It was only after we read the books that we understood what kind of emotions the record would evoke,” said Jo Kwon, the leader of the group.

“Are You Hurting Like Me” is a mellow ballad piece that captures the sentiments of a rejected lover who is unable to move on.

Following in 2AM’s footsteps are Big Bang with “Fantastic Baby” and SHINee with “Sherlock.”
