Kang Yu-mi talks about her new face
On the news program, Kang opened up about having undergone jaw realignment surgery in a bid to be embraced as a beautiful comedienne.
“It was so painful. I definitely won’t be going through that again,” said Kang who did add that her new face has given her a new lease on life.
“These days I’ve been approached to shoot wedding pictorials as well as a shoot for a men’s magazine. I feel so fulfilled as a woman,” Kang said.
Meanwhile, the fact that Kang had plastic surgery was made public back in December when the clinic where she underwent surgery posted a picture of the entertainer with her surgeon.
On Dec. 10, ID Hospital’s Web site featured a picture of the celebrity taken with the hospital’s director, Dr. Park Sang-hoon. The hospital is renowned in the field of facial bone reconstruction, especially for correction of protruding jaws. The caption under the picture read, “Kang Yu-mi stopped by the hospital upon her return from the U.S. for a checkup on her mouth protrusion surgery.”
The post also thanked Kang for choosing the clinic over other competitors.
