K-pop stars to rock the Yeosu Expo

From mid-June, K-pop heavyweights will dazzle audiences at the Yeosu Expo.
Super Junior and CN Blue will perform from mid-June until Aug. 12, following the footsteps of the Wonder Girls, Kim Jang-hoon, Se7en, 2AM,
Due to over-crowding at the beach-side stage, a new area will be built on the wharf, catering to more than 20,000 K-pop fans.
The “Expo Pop Festival” will be included in the admission price for the event allowing visitors to view all 80 exhibitions, take part in festivities as well as attend the K-pop concert.
The surging popularity of the Korean Wave abroad will no doubt increase awareness for the international fair being held in Yeosu, South Jeolla.
On May 3, the United Nations announced that Seohyun of Girls’ Generation will act as a celebrity spokesperson at the Yeosu Expo, which is themed after marine and coastal protection. The girl group member said, “I will try my best to increase awareness about the importance of marine life.”
