Hite-Jinro’s raspberry wine wins over world panel again

Hite-Jinro Group said yesterday that its raspberry wine was awarded the Gold Quality Award for a fourth year in a row at the “2012 Monde-Selection” in Athens earlier this month.

The beverage, which sells under the brand name Donguibogam Bokbunjajoo, is made using the group’s medicinal raspberry fermentation technique.

Last year, it was granted the International High Quality trophy for picking up a Gold Quality Award three years in a row at the event, one of four international panels that evaluate alcoholic beverages from around the world. The others are the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWS), the International Wine & Spirit Competition and the International Spirits Challenge (ISC).

Hite-Jinro’s drink is made in the same way as red wine but with raspberries replacing grapes.
