B1A4 will spend four hours at a very unlikely place for a K-pop band on Sep. 1.
The four member boy band has been picked to promote traditional markets in Gangwon by visiting the central market place in Wonju, Gangwon.
Starting at 6 p.m. the group will perform while making its way around the market to take part in the traditional Korean grocery shopping experience.
“We don’t have all that much to offer, but it’s such an honor to be able to contribute our talent to help out the community,” said the band.
“As we are of the age of convenience stores and supermarkets, we hope to act as good ambassadors about markets to our peers.”
Other entertainers to have represented traditional markets include U-Kiss, Jang Yoon-jung and Song Dae-kwan.
The humble markets full of quintessential Korean charms are increasing becoming a hotspot for tourists and Hallyu fans who want the authentic Korean experience.
