KBL season to start where it left off

A rematch between the defending champion Anyang Korea Ginseng Corporation KGC and the runner-up Wonju Dongbu Promy will kick off the 2012-13 Korean Basketball League season next month.

The KBL recently confirmed the schedules of the upcoming season including the five opening games on Oct. 13. The KGC beat the regular season champion Promy 4-2 in the best-of-seven Finals in April, the first title in franchise history. The opening game between the two rivals will be held in Anyang.

The other opening games will pit the Seoul SK Knights against the Incheon ET Land Elephants, the Jeonju KCC Egis against the Seoul Samsung Thunders, the Busan KT Sonicboom against the Goyang Orions and the Changwon LG Sakers against the Ulsan Mobis Phoebus.
