Compact sedan redefined
Models pose with a K3, Kia Motors’ highly anticipated compact, yesterday at a resort in Gangwon. The new type of compact sedan completes the company’s K series that also includes the K9, K7 and K5. The vehicle is equipped with a 1.6-liter (0.42-gallon) gasoline direct injection (GDI) engine, with 140 horsepower. The GDI engine has a fuel efficiency of 14 kilometers per liter (32.9 miles per hour) with a six-speed automatic transmission. The K3 comes in five trims - a deluxe model with a minimum price of 14.92 million won ($13,386), a luxury model for 16.77 million won, a luxury eco plus model for 17.88 million won, a prestige model for 18.41 million won and the most expensive noblesse model for 19.39 million won.
