Han Sung-ju wins trial against ex

The Seoul Central District Court ruled yesterday that there was insufficient evidence to suggest that Han had stolen money from her ex-boyfriend Christopher Hsu. It also denied charges that he was attacked by Han’s entourage.
With the case dismissed, the Taiwanese-American Hsu will not receive the 500 million won ($459,130) that he claimed was owed to him.
“Although the plaintiff stated that Han had tricked him into thinking the two would soon wed and used that as a reason for buying expensive goods with his money, we see that as common exchanges that took place between lovers and not fraud,” the court said.
“In regards to the physical battery that allegedly took place, all the evidence submitted was either written by Hsu himself or his friends, so it does not hold up.”
The court case dates back to December 2011. Hsu was also linked to leaking nude pictures of Han when the two split.
