Delectable doenjang
Residents of Shinki village, Gundong-myeon, Gangjin-gun, South Jeolla, make New Year’s doenjang, or soybean paste, by fermenting ripe boiled soybean lumps yesterday. The New Year’s doenjang, known as the variety with the most distinctive flavor, is made after the 15th of the first lunar month.
