Country’s largest steelmaker replaces five board members

Posco, the country’s largest steelmaker, replaced five of the 12 members of its board of directors on Thursday.

The company said it nominated Vice President Chang In-hwan and senior executive Kim Eung-kyu as new board members. It also appointed three new outside board members: former LG CNS CEO Shim Jae-chul, former Sony Korea Chairman Lee Myung-woo and former Supreme Court Justice Kim Ji-hyung.

CEO Park Han-yong and Vice President Cho Neo-ha decided to relinquish their positions on the board. Posco will hold a meeting of its board members on March 22 to confirm the nominations.
