The music programs all three of Korea’s terrestrial television channels- KBS, MBC and SBS- appear to want to rank songs based on their popularity once again.
MBC’s music program “Show! Music Core” plans to revive its weekly ranking of songs starting next month. The broadcasting company recently made a decision and will reveal more details in the coming days, according to the report.
Recently, “Music Trend” on SBS has decided to provide a weekly ranking of 50 popular songs starting this week. It has been seven years since “Show! Music Core” abolished its ranking service in 2006.
The program will list 50 choices on its mobile application, and users will be asked to vote for those they listened to, downloaded and loved the most in the past week.
KBS’ “Music Bank” has never canceled their ranking service.
