Tough childhood made Soyu a saver

Soyu of girl group Sistar appears to be the most frugal member of the K-pop group, saving half of her income.
Soyu made the revelation on the SBS talk show “Hwashin - Controller of the Heart” on Tuesday.
“Although I may not be a VIP bank customer, I do save a lot,” she said.
“When I make 1 million won [$889], no matter what I save 500,000 won.”
She said she adopted the saving habit after going through difficult times financially when young.
“Since I was sophomore in junior high school, I made my own money by working many different jobs,” she said.
“I have a license for hairstyling and I think I’ve done almost everything except working at a gas station.”
Hyorin, of the same group, also appeared on the show, and said she was startled to learn her six-month contract as a model for a brand of soju (a popular vodka-like drink) had not been renewed.
