TVXQ’s Max takes a break

Max Changmin, a member of the popular K-pop group TVXQ, missed filming the latest episode of the KBS entertainment show “Our Neighborhood Arts and Physical Education” on Wednesday due to a scheduling conflict that saw him promoting his projects in Japan.
KBS moved quickly to squash rumors that the singer might be leaving the sports-themed entertainment program, especially as it came days after he suffered a minor injury while filming another episode.
While Changmin is abroad, his spot will be filled by singer Kim Hyun-joong, who recently returned to the music scene with his third album, “Round 3.”
In the episode, Kim and the other regular members of “Our Neighborhood,” including entertainer Kang Ho-dong, visited Taereung Village, where national team athletes trained.
The episode with Kim in it will air on Aug. 20.
