What’s next? Actress Taemi shows off a taekwondo spinning kick during an eye-catching first pitch to open a Doosan Bears-SK Wyverns game at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on Saturday. Taemi’s action-packed pitch emerged as a potential challenger to the much-hyped “illusion pitch” performed by retired rhythmic gymnast Shin Soo-ji at the same stadium in July. Shin’s pitch went viral on the Internet.
Taemi, 23, whose real name is Kim Kyung-sook, won the World Taekwondo Poomsae Championship in 2007. She made her silver screen debut in a 2011 action movie appropriately named “The Kick,” in which she played the daughter of a Korean taekwondo master in Bangkok. Provided by Doosan Bears
