G-Dragon preparing a coup d’etat
G-Dragon of the boy group Big Bang surprised and delighted fans yesterday by releasing a teaser image for his new solo album, stating “Coming very soon - G-Dragon coup d’etat.”There’s no word on when “very soon” might be. However, the image posted on the YG Entertainment Web site showed the singer with most of his face covered in a black cloth, except his darkly made-up eyes.
“Many fans and industry experts are waiting to hear what this artist will bring after the rave reviews his previous solo album ‘One of a Kind’ received last year,” said the agency.
With the news that many internationally-renowned artists participated on this album, including Missy Elliot and Diplo, the agency said that fans were ever more eager to hear G-Dragon’s new work than usual.
G-Dragon performed Sunday in Los Angeles, along with Missy Elliot, at the Korean pop culture event “KCON 2013.” He is also scheduled to perform two concerts at Seoul Olympic Park this weekend.
