The decision came as the cable channel celebrates its seventh anniversary.
“The fact that Psy has presented some songs that shook the world with ‘Gangnam Style’ and ‘Gentleman’ fits with tvN’s aim to be a leading force in producing young, fun and striking content,” said Lee Deok-jae, manager of content strategies at CJ E&M.
Filming of Psy’s new commercial for the channel has been completed at a beach in California.
“The channel has been focusing on one goal: bringing audiences new and fresh fun,” Lee said.
“We will continue tackling the challenge of producing content that can be enjoyed regardless of age.”
