SM artists head to Beijing

SM Entertainment, the K-pop powerhouse that is home to leading groups such as TVXQ, Super Junior and Girls’ Generation, has announced it will hold a giant concert in Beijing next month.
“SM Town Live World Tour III in Beijing” will take place on Oct. 19 at the 70,000-seat Beijing National Stadium (a?k?a the “Bird’s Nest” stadium from the 2008 Olympics), with 10 SM groups and solo acts slated to take to the stage, including BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, SHINee, f(x) and Exo.
“It is the first time for foreign singers to have a concert at Beijing National Stadium,” said SM Entertainment in its press release. “Only the top stars in China have held events there.”
SM Entertainment has stepped up its international concerts since 2008. With “SM Town Live,” concerts having gone to Los Angeles, New York, Tokyo and Paris.
