‘Ero’ director appears on TV

Movie director Bong Man-dae, best known for the erotic films he made in the late 1990s and early 2000s, is going to appear on the MBC talk show “Radio Star.”

The director taped his interview yesterday at the MBC studio in Ilsan, Gyeonggi, for the episode slated to air on Wednesday.

The director’s most recent movie, “Playboy Bong,” came out in August, and purports to present a behind-the-scenes look at the making of an erotic film in Korea, showing the struggles and conflicts that the cast, crew and director go through.

Bong was accompanied by three other guests: singer Kim Ye-rim, also known as Lim Kim; singer Ryeowook, of the K-pop group Super Junior; and the comedian Kim Su-yong.
