Exo fans rumored to petition against members’ military service

Fans of the boy group Exo have reportedly posted an online petition to exempt members of the group from their compulsory military service.

Exo fans allegedly posted on social media yesterday that they will be collecting signatures on the group’s fan site as a protest of the two-year mandatory service.

However, local media has said no such post exists on the group’s Web site.

“Instead of Exo members, other men can serve a couple more years,” one of the fans reportedly said online.

Another one reportedly said, “It shouldn’t be a problem for some of the members not going to the military, and isn’t it patriotic enough that Exo members bring in foreign interest?”

Because the original post was nowhere to be found online, many are also raising speculations that anti-fans who don’t support the group intentionally spread the rumor.
