Posco Engineering, an affiliate of top steelmaker Posco, said yesterday it won a $40.5 million project in Brazil to construct an air separation unit (ASU) for Praxair.
The company said it will build the ASU for the CSP Steel Plant at the Pecem Industrial Complex in Ceara in northeastern Brazil by August 2015. The ASU is a facility that produces gas or oxygen used in steel manufacturing.
Posco Engineering said it hopes to build a solid partnership with Praxair, Brazil’s largest ASU plant operator, and state-run Petrobras to facilitate further projects in petrochemical, refinery and gas plant construction.
