‘Gentleman’ year’s top YouTube video

“Gentleman,” from world star Psy, is the most-watched K-pop music video on YouTube worldwide.

The website operator announced yesterday the list of the most-viewed videos from December 2012 to November 2013.

The music video for “Gentleman,” which was released in April, has about 600 million views. It has previously set many records as the most-searched video on one day, and as the video that surpassed 100 million views in the shortest time. Psy received the same honor last year with his previous hit, “Gangnam Style.”

Following in Psy’s footsteps, Girls’ Generation took second place with its song, “I Got a Boy.” The group also has two other songs on the top 10 list, “Dancing Queen” and “Galaxy Supernova,” proving that it is one of the most popular K-pop groups.

The boy group Exo received the third- and fourth-highest honors with “Growl” and “Wolf,” while “Rum Pum Pum Pum” from girl group f(x) took seventh place.

2NE1’s “Falling in Love” was in ninth place and 4Minute’s “What’s Your Name?” was in tenth.
