The name of JYP’s new group is ...
Leading music group JYP Entertainment has finally announced the name of its new group. Got7 will be a seven-member boy band and will make its debut on Jan. 20.
It is the first time for the management agency to introduce a new male group since it debuted 2PM in 2008.
The group will also be the first hip-hop group the company has unveiled and will specialize in “tricking,” an acrobatic and performance-focused style of martial arts.
The agency plans to unveil the seven members starting tomorrow. The group’s first music video will be released on Jan. 15, and then it will have a debut performance the following day on cable channel Mnet’s music program “M Countdown.”
Got7’s first mini-album will come out on the 20th.
“We are happy to bring out the new group with seven talented members, ready to show some martial arts tricking,” said the agency. “We hope you will encourage this new group so that they can show their talents and charms.”
