All dramas want to sign Cha
Veteran actor Cha Seung-won is being hotly pursued by all three terrestrial channels, eager to cast the big-time star in his first TV role since the 2011 MBC drama “The Greatest Love.”According to local media reports, KBS, MBC and SBS have offered Cha leading roles in their coming dramas, and Cha is currently reviewing the choices.
KBS and MBC are keeping their offers quiet. However, SBS has revealed that it has offered Cha a part in “You Are Surrounded.” The drama is still quite a way off. It is scheduled to take over from “Three Days,” which will kick off after “You Who Came From the Stars” wraps up in February.
It is said that all three broadcasters are competing fiercely for Cha, who has been one of the top actors in Korea for more than a decade, having starred in hit movies such as “Kick the Moon” and “Jailbreakers.”
