Hyundai and Kia get votes of confidence in global survey
Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors, the country’s two largest automakers, were selected by a leading accounting firm as the companies that are expected to increase global market share the most by 2019. According to a report by KPMG International titled “Global Automotive Executive Survey 2014,” 70 percent of respondents “feel the Korean manufacturer will gain a bigger share, thanks to new models set to make their a mark on premium segments.” The report, which focuses on the global automotive industry outlook, has been released annually since 2000. The latest survey is based on interviews in July to August with 200 auto industry executives in 28 countries.
