TV fuses with SNS for new show
Professional game player and entertainer Hong Jin-ho confirmed his appearance in the new tvN talk show “I Like Sharing TV” (temporary title) yesterday, according to the broadcaster.“I Like Sharing TV” intends to talk about some issues that are going viral online, especially on social media. The show will have three hosts – Kim Sung-joo, Lee Kyung-kyu and Kim Gu-ra – and, accordingly, they will compete to get the most “likes” from the panel during the program.
“Online is my profession. The things I have shared and talked [about] with my fans through the Internet will be the driving force for the program,” said Hong.
Hong used to be a professional StarCraft player from 1999 to 2000, but he retired in 2011, announcing that he “wants a new challenge.”
In 2013, Hong appeared on tvN’s reality show “The Genius,” in which participants play a game to survive until the next episode. Hong was cast again in the second season of the program.
The new talk show’s first episode will air on Tuesday at 11 p.m.
