Girls’ Generation are now Underdogs

Korean girl group Girls’ Generation has teamed up with acclaimed American production duo The Underdogs, the group’s agency, SM Entertainment, said yesterday.

In the lead-up to the group’s soon-to-be released single, “Mr.Mr.,” SM Entertainment on Tuesday released a set of teaser images and a short clip that soon became the most searched items on major online portals such as Naver.

The Underdogs, who produced “Mr.Mr.,” have worked with big-name Western singers such as Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown and R. Kelly.

“Mr.Mr.” is set to drop on Feb. 19, with the full album being released on Feb. 24.

Girls’ Generation is one of the biggest groups in K-pop. Its 2013 single “I Got a Boy” has had more than 85 million views on YouTube.
