Doosan Infracore, the machinery maker under Doosan Group, said yesterday it completed a large machine manufacturing plant in Changwon, South Gyeongsang, and began commercial production.
The company invested 37.1 billion won ($34 million) in 2012 to build a plant on 110,607-square-meter (27.3-acre)site. It can produce 1,000 machines in a year, but Doosan Infracore said that it wants to expand the annual capacity to 3,600 units in near future.
The company said large machine manufacturing requires separate production infrastructure than other machine production line because assembly and polishing process can be difficult.
