K-water, a state-run national water resource management corporation, is hosting the 2015 World Water Forum in Daegu.

The forum, organized by the World Water Council, takes place every three years, and Daegu is the seventh city to host the event.

At the latest forum in France, 35,000 people from 173 countries attended to discuss water-related issues.

From April 12 to 17, 2015, high-quality sessions from four different commissions of the World Water Council will be offered.

Under several topics such as Thematic Process, Political Process and Regional Process, government officials, organizations and corporations will engage in debate to exchange meaningful information and bring about better solutions to global water-related problems.

The Science and Technology Process, the newest included in next year’s forum, will especially focus on exchanging information and technology to close the gap between developed and developing countries.

An expo and fair in which guests can visit exhibition booths and experience various activities provided by governments, organizations and corporations will be at the event.

The aim for the exhibition is to promote and spread better policies, products or technologies to create a healthier water environment.

“We will endeavor to be a world leader in water management,” said K-water CEO Choi Gye-woon.

K-water plans to promote their Smart Water Grid, the future paradigm of water management, at the forum.
