KT&G expands slim cigarette production at Sintanjin plant
KT&G’s manufacturing plant in Sintanjin, north of Daejeon, has became the world’s biggest maker of slim cigarettes, the company said yesterday.It took three years and five months to expand the production facility, which included installing automation machinery. The expansion was completed yesterday.
The plant’s production of slim cigarettes will now rise from 35 billion to 85 billion per year. It will also be able to produce 25 different types of cigarettes simultaneously.
