Song Yoon-ah back on TV
Actress Song Yoon-ah will come back to the small screen to resume her acting career after six years of living as a housewife.After she got married to actor Seol Gyeong-gu in 2009, the 41-year-old actress gave birth to a son in 2010.
Multiple media sources yesterday reported that Song will return to star in an upcoming MBC drama series tentatively titled “Mama.”
As she has been away from television for years, many drama fans are eagerly awaiting her comeback. Her last drama series was “On Air” (2008), in which she played the screenwriter character.
MBC announced that Song will play a single mother confronted with imminent death in the new drama. “The mother tries to make a new family for her only son, who’s going to be left behind when she’s gone,” said the broadcaster.
“Mama” is slated to be aired in August after the current series “Hotel King” wraps up.
